Our J/24's are outstanding educational sailboats. The J/24 has become the worlds most popular Keelboat and is renowned for it's excellent handling and fine feel for the wind and water. The J/24 was designed to fulfill the diverse needs of recreational sailors such as cruising, one design racing, day sailing and handicap racing.
Beneteau 411 | Modern Performance
After mastering small boat sailing aboard the Hunters, students in our advanced courses step aboard a our 42' Beneteau sloop. At twice the length and over twice the sail area, the Beneteau gives students the opportunity to apply their newfound skills aboard a completely different type of vessel and see how big boat sailing is so intricately related to small boat sailing. Aboard the larger vessel students learn to steer with a wheel, use a diesel engine, dock under power, use roller furling, electronics and understand how size and weight affects vessels of all type.
The boat is equipped with the latest in state of the art navigation and safety equipment and meets all federal, state and international requirements as a Class A offshore vessel. She has sailed the Atlantic twice!
